World Food Safety Day 2023 focuses on three main objectives: to promote awareness through WHO, FAO and Codex Alimentarius to raise public awareness of the importance of food safety. But, how? Through information campaigns, events and educational resources, active participation and public understanding of food safety issues is encouraged.
WHO, FAO and Codex Alimentarius promote collaboration between countries through technical assistance programs and information exchange. The aim is to strengthen the countries' capacities to guarantee food security for all citizens.
Developing sustainable food systems: Food security cannot be achieved without special attention to environmental sustainability.
